AC Raven Test Room, Armored Core (1997)
Death Valley
Tallgeese Stage, Shin Kidō Senki Gundam Wing: Endless Duel (1996)
Alaska, Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems (1996)
Trivia: Wendigo and Sasquatch are in the background.
Mall Mayhem
Lost Palace, Phantom Dust (2004)
Trivia: Out of all of Mega Man's weapons through out his series, and out of all 374 skills in Phantom Dust, there is only one aptly named Weapon/Skill in both, known as Remote Mine. This weapon is gained by Mega Man in Mega Man & Bass after defeating Pirate Man. It can be shot, then aimed, and than pre-maturely detonated if chosen to do; otherwise it will stick to whatever it makes contact with and detonate. In Phantom Dust it is a Psycho school, mine type attack skill that can be detonated by the player after being set. Costs 1 aura with a STR of 3, with ∞ use. Watch out for him equipped with this in the background!
Trivia: Guile is wearing his V-ISM Kick color from Street Fighter Alpha 3
Trivia: Axel Stone from Streets of Rage 3 takes to the scene along with She-Hulk right behind him.
Manhattan
Eclipse, Berserk (1996)
Manhattan Sewers
The Deadpool, Mortal Kombat II (1993)
Toxic Seahorse Stage, Mega Man X3 (1995)
Trivia: The mice in the sewers are now modified after Mouser Robots from the TMNT series.
Trivia: Dragon Punching your opponent to death at the end of the round will NOT send them flying into the pool of acid! Do not try!
On the Hilltop
Boggly Woods/The Great Tree, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door (2004)
The Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd (1973)
Raging Inferno 1
Big Shell, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001)
Raging Inferno 2
Destroyed Mako Reactor, Final Fantasy VII (1997)
This stage is exemplary of the power of PalMod. Cycling through 5 different palettes per layer every 8 frames, this stage seemed impossible to be done manually through Hex Editor given its complicated palette and tile assignment. Thankfully I crossed paths with Preppy and thanks to him and TVIndustries and a few key other people, mods of this size and difficulty are now possible much more easily.
Showdown in the Park
Floral Shoppe, Macintosh Plus (2011)
Need I say more? Showdown to this nostalgia painted pathway as the droning beats take over. Did you hear that? Its the sound of Windows 95 booting up and the sound of crisp humming from your CRT set to VIDEO. Remember to call home before it gets too late.
Trivia: Charlie is wearing ThekasinO's avatar outfit. ThekasinO was the founder of original versuscolors.com (2008)
Trivia: Rogue and Gambit are wearing their Assist 1 outfits from Marvel vs Capcom 2 (2000)
Trivia: Rose is wearing her Capcom Fighting Jam 2P outfit.
The Cataract
Redmoon Forest, The Legend of the Philsopher's Stone (RM2K3) (2009)
A tribute for my love to RPGMAKER, this stage is based on the first dungeon in the mystical world of XxNemesis29xX's "The Legend of the Philsopher's Stone" showcasing the wondorous potential of the RPGMaker 2003 engine.
The Temple of Fists
Sub-Zero Snowfield, Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana (1995, 2020)
Jyubei's Stage, Samurai Shodown II (1994)
The Great Buddha of Kamakura, Japan (1243)
Trivia: Although the stage is now set in a Wintery Japan night, I have changed the birds on the far right screen to be reflective of the Taiwanese endemic Yellow Tit; as the original stage is theorized to be set in Taiwan.
